Description

This morning, July 15, 2023.  Given only 38 minutes of suitable imaging time, comet C/2020 V2 (ZTF) still appeared as an interesting 10.1 magnitude object just clearing my eastern horizon (Eastern Sierra Mt. range).  This comet is rather far from us @ 2.6 AU and closing in on the Earth's MOID of 1.85AU this September.  Expected to brighten slightly!

With only 38 x 60seconds stacked salvageable subs I've decided to play a "no-no" and overstretch the final revision.  The first two revisions of course show my usual inverted and normally presented versions of the comet.  Very surprising to see the amount  IFN in the area as well as a faint bluish plasma tail trickling off the nucleus.

Don't shoot the photographer, he is in shock over the final image unnecessariness of an extreme stretch.
